老师你是真的牛逼

怎么说呢，感觉上课内容有点枯燥，可能是我个人不太习惯老师的语速，不过这老师人很不错，想深入了解db的可以选，作业也比较简单，最后期末给分也不错。

老师很好， 很有耐心， 也挺和蔼的， 讲了不少数据库里操作的实现原理，还有IO， 存储之类的， 要是原来学过操作系统， 算法相关的课程， 会看到不少熟悉的东西。 要是对数据库方面感兴趣， 推荐选一下。 assignment不太难， 还可以组队做， 但对课程学习很有帮助。

John is a good and funny lecturer. Assignments were not that scary even though he accentuated that this course requires you to have a really strong C background. Even a C dummy like me could get full marks in both assignments. I love John, he is patient. But sometimes, he did not reply my emails nor my inquiries on Webcms, maybe this is the only flaw for his teaching.

9315这门课教的数据库的知识不是很难，算法不是很难，但是学的在数据库方面都很有用。特别是PostgreSQL。算是我学的最爽的一门课了，哈哈。学完后很多数据库的一些基本概念都理解了（这门课不教SQL编程，只教数据库系统的算法实现，要接触PostgreSQL的源代码），可以为以后自己学习和理解其他的数据库系统打下一个比较好的基础。有些人会不太喜欢这个老师上课的语调和他的造型（男，长发），但是我觉得还好还好，老师挺和蔼可亲，节假日也会回邮件和在BBS上回答问题，自己做错了什么也会道歉和调侃，给分也比较松，感觉很好。

Nice course, lectures are sometimes a bit boring, but it does help u understand the detailed internal structure of DBMS.
