认真课前做好预习pre-lecture materials，复刻一下教授的操作

lecture也复刻一下练习题

练习巩固主要靠延迟一周的lab

整体设计挺符合《认知天性》里面关于人的学习和遗忘曲线的

收获很大，学完pgsql再做mysql也只是换一些基础语法，毕竟都是关系型数据库

assignment难度刚好也是一个有挑战又刚好能做出来的

Overall it is recommended for anyone want to have a career in back end engineering 

Jas I would say is my favourite comp lecturer that I have had so far. He is very funny and kind. 

Assignment 1 and 2 were not hard at all, I got almost full marks on both of them. I guess this also because Jas gives out marks generously. 

I didn't get the mark that I expected for this course as I ran out of time in the final exam and also forgot to submit 2 big questions (realised an hour later and submitted). I sent an email to jas and was hoping he can at least give me some marks for this stupid mistake that I made. Again, jas is very kind and he accepted my submission without penalty.

This course is very useful and worth learning. I didn't initially want to go to database but I have now changed my mind and selected comp9315 database implementation after done comp3311 because I saw jas also teaches this course. I am very happy to enrol in his course again.

- apparently super boring and easy. Lecture is super boring. lab can be done at home, instructors not too helpful.

- Exam was not at all easy and the exam has nothing to do with the lecture materials and assignments
- Didn't have a good lecturer, and the structure of the course is all over the place. Resources to learn weren't great, and the tutorial/labs were basically useless. The work throughout the semester focuses on the same content to build up your SQL skills, but then the exam abandons this entirely and expects theory which hasn't been assessed or properly practiced, and throws curveball questions about sections of the course that were barely covered.
- Do not do this course
- Avoid Xuemin, unless you can understand his accent.
