From Dan's Comp electives

- Really enjoyed this course! Challenging but lots of fun with lots of things to learn. Really helps you understand what's happening inside a machine. Only complaint was that we didn't receive our boards until quite late in the session. I know some aren't a fan of Sri's lecture style, I too grow tired of having to yell "Yes!" every 5 minutes, but he does really drill the information into you!

- Bookmark/ print out the AVR instruction set chart. It will become very useful once the practical/ coding components of the course starts. Everything becomes really straight-forward once you understand the fundamentals so definitely put in the effort on weekly lab sessions (you use them all in the final assignment!). Not exactly impossible to solo the labs/assignment but it did take away a lot of the time that can be used for fun extension stuff like making chiptunes in asm/ animating lcd displays.... so do try to get a productive lab partner. Overall good course.

-Assembly programming is actually pretty legit fun. Perfect 5/7.

- So boring and dry!
